I am having issues installing the Antec Kuhler. It's not the case though, it's the motherboard. It seems like the motherboards capacitors and heatsink are blocking the installation brackets. Anyone experienced this before?

Install it the other way... so that Antec Kuhler is attached to the front fan exhaust and the fan is pushing air through the rad and out. I didn't realise the Antec Kuhler was that thick!

Does that make sense?

If that doesn't work can you post some pics?

Cheers,

DB

Yes, it's been mentioned before. Check in the [Official] ASRock Z77E ITX Owners Club thread for how people solved it. You'll need to file at least one corner of the bracket if I remember correctly.

You'll get better temps in the SG05 with the Kuhler fan intaking cold air, and much less dust.

I just realized you may be talking about the top side of the board. If you are, try mounting with the tubes facing the PCIe like this. You could also try one of the other two directions you haven't tried.

Yeah, I was actually talking about both sides. On the front the mounting bracket seems blocked by the heatsink on the bottom of the last picture you posted. I went with my regular fan for now and will use rubbing alcohol later to clean it when I swap for the Kuhler. I just wanted to make sure I got this thing up and running first. Thank you for the help though, I was really confused when I saw the cooler and the board.

I ended up importing one from Japan (bought at Amazon.co.jp through Tenso). It appears to be the same heatsink as the one found on the USA GTX 660ti (albeit with a different shroud), so if you wanted to go that way... wink.gif
