What's more quiet?

Corsair H100

or

Hyper 212 Evo ??
Hmm I can only comment on h100 as i have.

When used at low settings it still keeps the CPU cool and is quiet. But the medium and high settings for me are unbeareable. So loud.

I also have 2 Noctua fans attached on the h100 and those fans are super quiet.

What i am doing now is that I connected 2 Noctua fans and the 2 Corsair fans on a fan controller. I turn off the Corsair fans when I am on desktop and only Noctua fans are working. But when I am gaming i turn on all the 4 fans. I dont notice the fan sound while gaming with a headphone.

It all comes down to the fans that will be used. If you're sticking with stock, the Hyper 212 Evo will most likely be the more silent one.

If you're willing to put better fans on the coolers, I would go with the H100.

Does H100 have 2 fans, and Hyper Evo only have one fan?

It'll depend on application... if you aren't overclocking a 3770K and am just cooling a Core i3, i'd have thought the Hyper would be quieter.

You can change the fans though... it is these that are making the noise.

What are you going to cooling? What are you going to be doing with it?

Cheers,

DB

@DB

Well, this is my build:

Arctic White Bitfenix Prodigy Case
Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe
Intel Core i5-3570K
MSI N660Ti PE 2GD5/OC (GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5)
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB
Samsung 830 Series MZ - 250GB SSD
Corsair AX650

I'm going to be using the computer for some gaming (nothing too intense). I was going to use the CM Hyper 212 Evo but I found out that there are some mounting issues that could potentially damage the mobo. So, I've been looking into water cooling. H100 seems like an easy set up, but I read that they can be loud. But now that you told me that replacing the stock fans will make it quiet, I think I will just stick with the H100.

Do you know if the Noctua NH-D14White will be any good? better than the hyper 212 and H100? Will it be more quiet?
Ok, first up... thanks for info... and great build you have there!

I have custom water loops... but I'd definitely recommend the H100 with 3 x GT AP-14s... that's two sucking air into the case and pushing it through the H100 at the front. And one exhaust on replacing whatever fan you have there. You should be able to get a decent OC out of your chip with that setup and it will be v quiet.

The GTX 660 Ti will easily be the loudest part of your system when gaming.

Hope this helps,

DB

You mean replacing the stock fan that came with the case right? Also, if my GPU is going to be loud, should I just do my own water cooling loop?

Also, some one mentioned using this: http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=69346 ??

Would the 3 x GT AP-14s be better? o.o

AP-15 > Noctua for ANY radiator applications. Thing about radiator fans is mmH2O (or static pressure) is more important than cfm (most of the time). AP-15's will work much better at lower rpm than Noctua's will.

I'd get a custom loop kit like the RASA kits to start. It's about 50$ more (or 100 for the upgraded kit) and you can add your GPU down the line when you feel like getting more. You'll also see a world of difference in performance over the H100.
