[EG] Beats By Dre Launches $300 Executive Headphones. - Page 28

my tritton's are not virtualized sound , they are actual full dolby digital (each speaker with it's own channel and driver), there are ton's of headphones out there (not all, but a good majority) that say that they are surround sound 5.1 or 7.1, but they are virtualized, these are not. google it:D , all i'm saying is that i don't believe that dr dre's don't seem to warrant the price tag

tritton ax 720 which is a virtual surround sound headset is a lot better in sound positioning than the tritton ax pro which is a "real" surround sound headphone, go figure.

and yes, i had them both,

Unlikely. Monster are ceasing production of the Beats range as the two companies are parting ways.

My brother bought a pair of beats. I tried them on. They are pretty but they sounded terrible. My Sony MDR-V150s sounded better! (A 20$ pair of sonys). I showed him my pair of Sony MDRZX700's and he bought a pair the next day.

Headphones I know that are better:
Sony MDRZX700 ($120...but can get for $80 on amazon at the moment)
Sennheiser HD203 ($50 but can get for cheaper on amazon at the moment)
Sony MDRZX100 ($20)
Sony MDRV150 ($20 but can get the newer model MDRZX100 for $20)

This is no bash fest. We all have thorough proof that Beats by Dre are terrible. If you disagree, then prove your point.

The uninformed consumer is easily fooled by marketing ploys involving shiny new toys that offer little in the way of performance (or in this case, sound quality).

Walk away from the computer for a few and relax. Then reread my previous post, and your previous two, and you'll see that you're overreacting.

Dude all i said was no hate like i said is that ok ? and im not turning this thread about me its just everytime i see a Beats Thread i always see people hating people for owning them.

PS:Im not even angry sometimes words can look it when there not.

While there is no doubt some educated folks with audio here, I'd bet most peoples "poor experience" is a couple of minutes in the local retail store with their smartphone, then they think it's the cool thing to jump in for the ride so they look cool. I'll put my hands up and admit I used to do the same sort of thing once about Bose, of which while I still think they have high pricing, I do like some of their products (especially the Companion 3's and their new Soundbar which HDTV's can sit on) now that I stopped being a sheep and went out and actually tried the product out properly for myself.

Who is anyone to tell someone else what is or is not good for them? Taste is subjective to the user and, most especially with audio, everyone's ears are completely different. If someone likes the look of Beats, and they think it's a really good sound for them, good for them. If you think something is better, go and buy it and enjoy it, instead of joining a circle jerk on an internet forum, looking down on some kid who has something that makes him happy in life.

For the record, before people think I am some rabid Monster fanboy, I own a pair of AKG k430's which I think are fantastic for their price. I just think this sort of bandwagon behaviour over a brand or it's pricing is ridiculous. It's almost as bad (no, worse actually) than the Apple hate on this forum. I'll also go on record and state I actually like one particular type of Beats headphones (though not the price tag though I won't exactly go on a rabid fanrage warpath about it) and actually thought they sounded pretty good to me, though I think some of the others sounded rather bland with some respect personally. That's not to say someone else may not like the particular style of audio they offer. Obviously plenty of people do, or they wouldn't be so popular regardless of what a few people think on an internet forum.
i agree heaps with this quote by Lifeshield" ^_^

I think headphonephiles are mad because Beats are so well marketed and accepted by popular culture. Don't get me wrong, I'm a proud owner of the HD700. Isn't it obvious by now that people are shallow and just like flashy and attractive things?

What would be a good headset like the Studios from Beats by Dre that offer the iPhone Mic and Volume/Skip control? I'm leaning towards the Bose QC15 since it has that and the noise cancelling are superior. Only thing that worries me is the sound quality.

Out of all the Beats range I tried I found the Mix'r to be the best ones for me personally. Bare in mind I listen to alot of electronic music like Liquid Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Trance, etc. Can't remember if they have the in-line controls but they are worth looking at if you can find them at a reasonable price.

With that said my AKG k430's are just as good at a quarter of the price.
