Combine the loss of their two best writers, the mass layoffs among their "lesser" staff, and ever ever-oppressive poisonous grip of EA, and we can pretty much write off BioWare as a dead-studio-walking.

Fair enough....

But my short rebuttal is....

I actually really enjoyed it. It had some issues (the ending and length)
but for the most part I liked it.
  • The combat system is fun for me
  • Isabella is Smoken hot
  • the graphics are not bad
Things I would like to see in DA3
  • Open world like skyrim
  • classless customizable skills
  • 200+ hours of gameplay
  • Open engine for modding
[/LIST]

I can't say I agree with you. I thought the plot wasn't too bad at first, but after I got to the city I became bored and dropped it. Combat for me was a mixed bag. Mage combat was WAY more fun with the new animations. On the other hand, anything other than mage was ridiculous. I was swinging a sword around at lighting speed, anime style. I couldn't really take it seriously, even by video game standards, so I quit.

Man, ever since I heard that TOR and not KoTOR 3 was in development, I cried out my manly tears. Dragon Age 3 sounds like a sore excuse for not giving us a KoTOR 3.
Dragon Age II was abysmal.

They had 3 tile sets for the entire game. City, inside and coast.
Not to mention the combat and characters hair styles resembled an overly bad anime.

I will worship DA:O for life as one of the all time greatest RPG's in all of everty. But I will not spend any money on this trash.

The Bioware we all grew up with and loved died long ago. They are a husk of their former selves and now adhere to the "standards" set in place by EA.

AGENT STORY LINE! (SWTOR)

I havn't played an agent beyong level 10, which admittedly isn't much, but from what I did see, it was incredibly dull and cliche. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume it gets better later.

That said, My counter to your imperial agent:

The entire KOTOR story-line which swtor is based off of, Revan, Darth Bane, Mass Effect... shall I continue?

Dragon Age II was a horrible game compared to the excellent Dragon Age: Origins. When I first played DA2 it seemed promising at first because the combat is somewhat fun, but after playing it for a week I realized that it is an utterly horrible game. I actually stuck with it and beat the game - The level of rehash in that game was astounding - there is one city, and you do the same dungeon 30 times with reskinned mobs. It truly is pathetic and disappointing, especially after the bar was set so high after the great DA:O and BG games.

I want to be excited for DA3, but I am not. I used to look forward to bioware games. Not any longer. Bioware is dead to me, sold out to the corporate machine that is EA.
