Dasher Build

Current rig is over 2 years old, time for a new rig. My current rig is the first desktop I built, so it wasn't as good as it could have been.

The goals of this build was to make a rig with a sexy black interior and exterior. Also I wanted the rig to have the capability to upgrade the CPU and SLI GPUs in the future. I was thinking of painting the PC-A05 matte-black, but I am unsure because I don't want to paint it myself, screw up, and waste money.

I purchased a PP05 cable set and planned to sleeve it. However, Silverstone just released their own line of sleeved cables called the PP05, so I might just purchase that. I'm not entirely sure though, because I think the PP05 cables are a bit too long. I've contacted Lutro0 about sleeving my cables. Depending on pricing that Lutro0 sets, I might go ahead and purchase the PP06 cables.

For the GPU, I want to go NVIDIA. I was thinking about the GTX 670, but I am unsure. What GPU do you guys think I should get? Also, I plan to purchase two H80's and one of Dwood's mounting brackets for the GPU for cooling. I have everything listed so far including a single H80 for the CPU.

Got all the parts except for the GPU now. Will post pictures sometime tomorrow.

I also decided to sleeve my PP05 cables from Silverstone myself. Order the tools and materials to do it.

Additionally, I'm really thinking about water cooling this system. I was thinking getting a MCP355x pump + res combo and getting EK waterblocks and compressors. Not sure though.

Got all the sleeving, heatshrink, and tools for sleeving my psu cables. Started sleeving my PP05 cables from Silverstone. Finished the 8-pin CPU connector. Took me 4 hours for the 8-pin CPU connector because I had no experience sleeving prior to this. I used Lutro0's video guides to help me with the sleeving process.

I know I haven't posted any pics so far, I will get to that asap.

Have everything installed now. Got the EVGA GTX 670 FTW+ for my GPU. Just need to sleeve the sata cable, motherboard cable, and molex 4 pin power cable.
