That's really annoying man. But is it really GPU tweak? Couldn't it be just faulty drivers or bad card?

It's hard to say really, I'm pretty sure my drivers are fine. The reason I think it's GPU tweak is because when I did a system restore to before I installed GPU tweak I stopped getting the grey screens that I was having.

How do you unlock the memory voltage in your Asus Tweak? Mine is showing as locked. Is there a config file i need to edit?

Guys I'm getting 45 degrees idle on my card and about 75 load? Is this way too high for stock clocks?

idle temps are high. do you have multiple monitors. is your fan on auto profile. try setting manual fan speed. the fan on this card is not loud even when running at 100% .

what are your idle clocks. if its 500 Mhz instead of 300 Mhz then thats the reason. some users have complained that the 12.11 b drivers don't downclock to 300 Mhz on idle.

My idle core clock is 300 MHz and memory is 600 MHz and currently a temperature of 43 degrees idle.
If I touch the backplate it's red hot as well frown.gif
Just done a furmark burn-in, under 100% load it peaked at 79 degrees.

what are the temps in real world apps like Heaven 3.0 , BF3. Furmark is a power virus intended to max out the chip's power consumption. do not use that as a stability test.

In 3DMark 11 I maxed at about 65 degrees which seems normal. I just don't get why my idle temps are so high?

If you hit 1200 Mhz at stock voltage in AMD CCC and are stable in BF3, Heaven, 3D Mark 11 thats a good start. make sure GPU core temps are below 75c. VRM temps below 90c. Pushing higher depends on your temps. Case cooling and ambient temps plays a big role . how many fans does your carbide 500r have. your card fan profile also helps. so ramp the fan speed to 60 - 70% if needed . As for idle temps its high. but better case cooling and higher fan speed should bring it down.
