Here's a source in English. Doesn't really say much though.

AMD's roadmaps aren't exactly clear at this point

Steamroller FX being released in Q1 2014 has been thrown around quite a bit. The chart saying that the 3rd gen APU will still be using Piledriver cores is worrisome though; hopefully it'll at least be a new higher-clocking stepping, maybe even with some small IPC improvements (see: C2 -> C3 -> E0 Ph2). Then again with some HSA features it might not really need a more powerful CPU...

Well, it's going to have ARM onboard as well. It'll be interesting to see how that gets utilized. Piledriver would really suck though... AMD is going to have to cook up something real good with HSA to make Richland worth it.

Wasn't the ARM chip inside Kaveri only in there to implement TrustZone encryption, though?

ya arms job will be to secure things!amd did good to stay away from 22 nm process, they can focus on lowering leakage and find better ways for their shrinkage from 32 to 28 nm !who knows maybe they ll surprise us!lego style single core cpu ?would be ultra modular and the higher limit?what limit lol?
I think the best thing to do for AMD now is drop the CPU segment, go APU.

I fear that if they keep dividing their attention (money) between these two, they'll lose both platforms. They seem to have lost the CPU segment anyway.

I'd rather like having an APU that can compete with a low end i5 and runs graphics like a 78xx smile.gif

Come on AMD, go APU biggrin.gif
