Strange noise on Power Supply

Hi, I am wondering if its fine if a PSU makes a click sound everytime it turns on or off. The click sound appears twice everytime I turn the pc on, once after i press the power button and once when the windows loading. It also appears once everytime I turn it off
FYI I am using Corsair GS800 and you can see all my components in my "Victoria SecRed" signature
rly need advice here doh.gif afraid it would effect on my other components

I'm thinking it might be the fan? Have you checked your voltages under load with a MM?

I have no experience in checking voltages, would you enlighten me here? what are the equipments I need and how do I do that?

Have you tried running the power supply directly into a wall socket no extenders?

Just using a multimeter, and a 12v rail thats not in use. But looks like your problem might have been solved below :O

Is it xonar phoebus? it might be it since it is located just above the PSU, Im so worried to the point where im just about to change to a future proofing 1000w platinum psu

No its a Xonar D1. I'm willing to bet it might be similar. Take the card out and see if it still does it.

You don't need 1000W. Also the GS series of Corsair units aren't THAT good... but its plenty for your system.
