Dual Monitor question

Hello, im about to buy this monitor: http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=16950MN8933&vpn=VS248H-P&manufacture=ASUS
after looking up on the internet for a 24inch gaming monitor in a price range of 150-250$ i believe this is the best i found.

I still have an old 22inch samsung syncmaster and i was wondering what could i possibly do with 2 monitors.

Can i play a game on the main one while being on youtube/facebook with the other, if so how do i switch from one to the other ? im pretty sure it wont be hard but what can you do with 2 monitors?

you absolutely can do all the things you mentioned in the last paragraph... and the most popular way ti switch quickly (and my personal favorite) is just to alt tab
