Just went back and re-read this post I made... kinda funny considering I did this only a few months later.... biggrin.gif

And I swear I'm gonna update that log as soon as I get a handle on my other projects. wink.gif

Yes they really are much, much nicer than the XSPC Razor's... of course since they cost me nearly twice as much - I think they ought to be as well. biggrin.gif

They also outperform the majority of GPU blocks out there. That's a nice bonus. smile.gif

This. Actually the performance is the entire reason why their worth it... the fact that they're beautiful is actually the bonus. I'd use them if they were ugly too - but I wouldn't necessarily let anyone know. smile.gif

I've not stopped by your thread in awhile Bart... hopefully everything is going pretty well. I'm off to go take a look-see presently. thumb.gif

Nothing new there buddy. smile.gif I did get the 4th 360 into the loop, and put the Monsta's in the pedestal, but that's it. At least it runs, and I now have even more rad overkill than I had before. It's not pretty though, as cable management hasn't even been attempted. biggrin.gif

I feel ya on that point. Mine is a huge pot of spaghetti at the moment (hence pictures of cards on my desk as it's messy but nothing compared to the state of affairs in my case). biggrin.gif

hey guys,
i'm new to these forums. i've previously been on the xs forums a few years ago. i stumbled across your build after following seeing a picture of this build on the CaseLabs galleries. It's phenomenal! I sent you a pm digicidal about how you got your lightbox setup. I've been away from WC a few years and finally am gonna tear down my dormant loop. I was running a TJ-07 dual loop i7 980x with dual 580s, asus RE3 mono block and bitspower ram block. It broke down about 9 months ago and I never got around to fixing it LOL. now the 690 i bought 18 months ago is outdated. i'm still gonna stick with the RE3 and the 690 until the next gen of stuff comes around, not quite happy with the CPU offerings now compared to the 980.
anyway, thanks for the inspiration to start water-cooling again!

Ah how the time flies by! Doing a full teardown on this build and then rebuilding again! I didn't realize that I had not put anything in here concerning the small modifications that were made in the past 2-3 years on this one. The 7970's were replaced by a pair of 980GTX's which are about to be replaced by a single 1080GTX. Tubing and some of the loop was re-done and will be redone again in this rebuild.

Still thinking it will be soft tubing for expediency sake, but we'll see how well I can stand that after I finish the hardline build in my SM8:

PRECIOUS METALWORX

Anyways, here is the last decent picture of this build pre-teardown:
