That is quite a lot of room for air to move through the pedestal! I like it! thumb.gif

Got a little 'care package' in the mail from Koolance direct sales today... wanted to use their QDCs in my rebuild, but there was absolutely no way I was mixing silver and black fittings as well as different brands!

Apparently they heard my wish and were rolling these out just as I went to their site to look for news of black fittings. All four were less money than a single pair of Bitspower QDCs would have been - plus those were out of stock in Black almost everywhere I looked.

I think these are starting to become available at the usual retailers... but most didn't have a complete selection when I had checked... of course Koolance themselves has all you could ever want to buy in inventory. smile.gif

That... is... wicked! I like those more than the Bitspower ones actually.

Yeah, I especially like the fact that the printing (with the exception of the company name) is only printed on one side of the QDCs so you can decide if you want the printing facing out or hidden from view. I kinda like the 'industrial' look it has with the printing visible, but I'll probably turn them inward on the build so they don't show up as much... since the Bitspower fittings are so understated, it might look to flashy with a bunch of text.

On another front... I just got email confirmation that the other part I'm waiting for is on it's way to me - UPS Express duty-paid so it should be here before Friday!
Don't have my own pictures of it yet (naturally) but here's what I'm getting:

Who's got two thumbs and some updates... this guy! (Sorry, I watched an episode of Chopped! on the Food Network and some chef from NJ kept saying that... got stuck in my head). redface.gif

First some pics of the new full-cover MB block... now officially the end of an era... RIP MIPS! sad-smiley-002.gif

RVE getting ready to drop it's drawers...

All gone!

Smells like death (OK more like acetone) but...

That IndigoXtreme Clean sure does work like a charm!

All ready for new clothes...

New block fitted and literally tucked into place...

I think I could get a piece of paper between the Raystorm mount and the block... but only barely...

It definitely fits like a glove... and a tight one at that... almost tight enough that we'd have to acquit if this was a trial. biggrin.gif

Tightened down just enough... any more and things start bowing (more than the IO backplake makes it bow already that is).

I'll have some more once I get the real progress done this weekend... I've gotten my runs figured out - it is possible for a tube run to be too clean?!? Well, I'm starting to think it might be... but I guess I can live with it! biggrin.gif There's basically not going to be much to look at tubing-wise with the port layout on this board... I may go hard copper later on... the runs just scream for it.

Nice man! I was hoping to get one of those, but due to financial constraints, and a new baby, it won't be happening. It looks pretty frockin sweet on there though! thumb.gif

Thanks! Yeah, I really prefer the 'plain' look of their blocks over EKs and XSPC in general. If no one steps up to replace them - it looks like I may have to find someone with a CNC and see about making my own (but not looking forward to that adventure really). Congratulations on the baby... that's much more important than a MB block anyway... gotta save up those dollars for that one! I can only imagine what the cost of education and housing will look like in 18 years! lmaosmiley.gif

I know, they really did make some of the nicest stuff IMO... ever since I saw this block I knew I wanted one... but since it really isn't necessary for the Z77 I wasn't going to bother. Then for some reason I decided to just pull the trigger last Saturday... and then the day I receive it - they close up shop! Timing is everything. thumb.gif
