Hey all ...

I know there are a million of these threads but I need some help ...

I am looking at powering a 2500k and a 7770 in a Silverstone TJ08 ... I will be using an Antec 620 for the CPU

I only have access to this website at the moment (long story) and I am not sure what PSU will be a good choice that will still allow for future upgrades ...


All help would be greatly appreciated.

All that would be needed for this and for future upgrades is a quality 550-650W power supply (although, a quality 400W power supply would be more than enough for right now).  Anything more would be good for future upgrades where you would have two top-of-the-line video cards in Crossfire/SLi.

 

How much can you spend on the power supply?

There are other PSUs that are of a higher quality than this that are roughly in the same price range.  I'm making a list (and some of the PSUs are modular).

That is a ~250W system at full load, if cheap is what you want then the EA-380D would make an excellent choice.

@ Original Sin --- The EA-380D is a nice looking PSU ... but I am looking at maybe a future GPU upgrade to the 600 Series or the 79xx series ... so the 380 may not be the best bet for that ... but it could work until a later date ...

@ TwoCables --- Surprised you never mentioned any of the Corsairs ... are they really that bad ?


My sister now wants an IT build smaller than I am making for my mother ... ... How good is the Silverstone SFX 350W that comes with the Sugo 05
