Rasa 750 tubing size and where to buy

Thread Starter
I am going to clean my rasa 750 kit i bought from frozenCPU as it's caked with algae (even after i put algaecide in it...) and i am told cleaning them is useless and i might as well just buy new.
FrozenCPU offers various sizes for $22 for 10 feet. But i find that a tad high.. However when i compare tubing for fish tanks at local stores with the tubing from the kit, the ones from the stores can barely bend without kinking. and thats not good for me.

So where do you guys buy your tubes where it isn't going to cost me my left arm?

Also, if i buy actual coolant instead of using water + algaecide would i still need to add anything to it? Or does it have all the stuff in it?

Thats a lot nicer then the $2.50/ft that frozen CPU has.

Do you happen to know it's flexibility?

i have not experienced using it but i read in a number of threads that it does not plasticize and that is the only criterion i went by . . .

http://www.overclock.net/t/1302930/so-is-there-a-clear-tubing-that-wont-plasticize

i should get it today and update you if you like.

Yes please do. Because i have a bit of a sharp turn to get the tubing out of my case, my current tubing worked great, but the fish store stuff kinked right now.

Also, can anyone answer my question about the coolant?

I am planning on getting this stuff here

Also i read my coolant already has everything i need. So now i just need to figure out if i need 1 liter or two, i am gueesing two since it takes just under a half gallon of water to fill my pc

durelene is great, I am using it now, I have a couple tight turns with no kinks. You can also look at the anti kink wrap for tight spots. At less than $.40 a foot its super hard to beat..

the durelene is actually very soft and flexible, plus it doesn't plasticize. The standard tubing that comes with the rasa kits is 7/16 x 5/8. Here's a pic of my rig with durelene and a rasa kit with an upgraded reservoir/pump.
