Have question about Ati tray tools

Thread Starter
ok so i installed my video card driver used the newest ATI driver, now i installed ATT and it seems to not be running as well in games for some reason. I was thinking it was because i might neeed to have the ATI CCC installed also so ATT works?

Could that be the problem?

also... i installed just the ati driver and everytime i start up my computer it says "found new hardware" and it asks me if i want to install a new driver but i cant get it to stop saying "found new hardware" i have tryed installing my drivers and uninstall. any ideas how to fix this?

No. ATT serves as the control panel, but using a lot less resources and processes. Have you manually installed the drivers by having the "Found hardware" window to look in the ATI folder? A bit of playing around might get it done.

What you should try to do now is uninstall everything. Download Driver Cleaner Pro and completely wiping out the ATI drivers during Safe Mode (not during Normal Mode) and then installing the ATI driver-only package PLUS the ATI WDM driver package, and install ATT afterwards. Things should be back to normal after that, hopefully.

EDIT: DriverHeaven.net/DriverCleaner.net seems to be down at the moment.
EDIT 2: Now it's back up.

Well Having the ATICCC shouldnt have a major effect on how you game however it is a runtime platform. I would advise you install the Whole driver package from ATIincluding ati ccc. However before you do so make sure you follow this procedure below ( May fix the whole asking to reinstall hardware )

Installing Graphic card driver efficiently!!! When you Update your graphics cards drivers theres ways that you should go about it. Follow these simple steps below.

1.Download and install ''Driver Cleaner'' Here:
http://www.drivercleaner.net/professional.html
2.Uninstall your Current Display drivers such as your ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' drivers.
3.Now run ''Driver cleaner'' and depending on the Drivers you have you will have to select either ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' from the drop down menu. Only select the main title of the driver in the drop down such as just ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia''
4.Once you have selected Your driver click on the ''Start'' button and this will now start the driver cleaning process. ( Do this twice to be sure )
5.Now reboot your system and Download the latest Nvidia or ATI and go ahead and install them.

Doing this avoids driver corruption and conflicts so you can now enjoy smooth gameplay.
