Project "The Incredible Hulk" Farewell - Page 2

Sounds good, I always thought a little bit of purple is what characterized the hulk. But, mostly, if not 90% green.

You should just whip out a grand for a 690, the green glowing logo would look good smile.gif

I would have gone for the 690 if it wasn't limited to 2GB of Vram per core. Since I game in 1440p i MIGHT need more vram in the future. But the idea is nice.

Also guys I came up with another idea.

I will also have a ceramic dough FACE of the HULK and it will be installed on the top of the Corsair 800D case, between the fans and the front panel. You know there is a gap there. I will make sure the face will have a very nice pop out feel. The nose will be there, the cheeks will be there. I will try to make it look like a real face. Again, the key is the thickness of the ceramic dough. I will try to use some metarial for the eyebrows that will make the eyebrows look realistic.

Thinking of this face but it can be different

I just changed the pictures that will go on the side panel and the top of the case.

I am also hopefully ordering a midplate for my 800D case that will write The Incredible Hulk in green. Engraved. Therefor I am not going to be installing the action figure for now.

If you are water cooling the purple monsoon fittings would be great for accents as well

Saw you have an h100

Right now my budget is not going to be suitable for a watercooling loop but hopefully in 2013 I will do it. For now all air cooling besides the CPU.

Good idea thoguh. I just added that part to my favorites for the future. thumb.gif

Hey folks. Here is an update

My fans have arrived and I installed them.

I installed 4 of them on the H100 in a push/pull setup

and the 5th one became the rear exhaust.

The green of the fans are almost the same color as the Geforce GTX logo which is good. But in the future there will be 1-2 more different tones of green so I will most probably have to go with a Green SMD Led Stripe instead of white. The White led stripe inside my case is making the green parts of the fan more yellowish.

When my green cables arrive things will look much better.

Hopefully over the weekend my wife will be able to start the ceramic dough Hulks.

That's going to look really, really good. Hows the fan performance through that foam?

Thanks. The fan performance with the foam on top is maybe 2-3 degrees hotter but I need to make extensive tests. Also i put that foam while installing the new fans and I did not test it with the older fans. It is pretty hard to say something for sure.

However I can tell you this, H100 as exhaust with 2 h100fans and 2 Noctua fans was 2-3 degrees cooler at idle than the current setup I have which is H100 push/pull, 4 coolink fans and the foam. But i prefer the foam as my CPU is still within really good values, nothing dangerous, but my case won't be a dust magnet as much.

I will have to play some BF3 and see what happens.

I need some help with the project guys.

I am ordering a backplate for my GPU,

a backplate for my soundcard

and a midplate for the case

Look at the current picture of the case

My GPU backplate will change now. It will only write THE INCREDIBLE HULK in green. It will cover most of the backplate.

Notice the soundcard right below the GPU? Well the soundcard will move to the bottom PCI slot. and i will make sure more light comes there to be visible. I will have a backplate for the soundcard as well and I am thinking of writing something like SMASH! because of the infamous quote HULK SMASH.

Now about the midplate of the case. I can have something engraved there as well but I dont want to write the INCREDIBLE HULK again since it will be in the GPU and the soundcard will just write SMASH. What are you thinking about the midplate? What should I write?

Also I can combine green and purple at the engravings of the backplates. Any ideas on how to use both colors? Maybe I can write the SMASH on the soundcard backplate in purple?
