They don't put their identity out there for me. They purchase things for me. My identity is not put out at all. My identity has nothing to do with the objects I purchase. I am not the sum of what I consume.

Exactly. If anyone uses Google Now, it only takes a few seconds to realize how much more invasive it is, but Google is the good guy, right? Neither of those things will stop me from using my iPad or S3.

Is this news because it's about Apple?

I thought this was common practice among all large corporations.

While your apps won't come over there are ways to get your whole itunes music library onto your Android phone, not just local storage either, you can stream the music. I haven't looked into it for the TV shows and movies bought through iTunes but I can't image that would be difficult either. I wish I had an SIII instead of the Galaxy Nexus I have now.

Gonna be paying more if you shop online though. Pricing is now based on your "calculated" demand for a product, and forgive me if I am putting on my foil hat here but advertisers are REAL professionals about influencing your choices. Most of the information you can find on it is obscured and vague, mostly because marketers treat this kind of information as trade secrets. But there's a few things you can find, A lot of which started when this guy sold his psychological research to advertising companies.
