Monitor Decisions and Questions

Thread Starter
Hi all, I'm planning on getting a new 20 inch monitor for a 2 monitor setup, because currently I have a 20 inch, and my desk won't fit anything more than another 20 inch. My GPU is a Radeon 7850 (this is in my sig rig) in this build as well.

My current monitor is a Dell monitor, like here: http://bit.ly/RBaakr (shortened because of an extremely long link)

So I was thinking I'd get that monitor, because then the monitors would be exactly the same, the thing is, these monitors only have DVI and VGA connectors, and my GPU only has 1 DVI output, which is currently being used on my monitor, so I'm wondering, would this setup work if I got a splitter for these monitors, so the picture goes out of the DVI port, then splits into 2 monitors? I'm planning to have an extended desktop with the two monitors, and not a mirror image of each other. I've seen people do this before, but I'd just like to make sure it works, so I'm not out $100, lol.

Thanks if you can help me out!

You can utilize the HDMI port from your GPU. Find a HDMI-to-DVI or HDMI-to-VGA converter in your local computer store. A splitter would cost you more than the converter.
