New EVGA Precision X 3.0.4 - Page 4

Apologies if anyone's already posted this info, but I found a way to re-enable downclocking and load monitoring while using K-Boost...

After enabling and applying K-Boost as per the instructions, disable SLI once again, in Precision X uncheck 'Windows Start Up' on the main screen, and uncheck 'Start with Windows' in the 'General' tab of 'Configuration'. Close Precision X and install a different GeForce driver. Restart the computer.

When you have done this and re-enabled SLI, open Precision X again and go to 'Adjust Voltage'. Set the voltage and hit 'Apply' as normal. Note that K-Boost should still be checked. Apply your other overclock settings, re-check 'Windows Start Up' on the main screen, and re-check 'Start with Windows' in the 'General' tab of 'Configuration'. Restart again.

When the computer has restarted your settings including K-Boost should be applied, the card/s should downclock as normal, and load monitoring should work again (I use Open Hardware Monitor to track load).

Note: If you wish to revert to the driver you previously had installed, simply repeat the process. Also, if you don't use SLI, simply disregard the references to disabling and re-enabling it.

Hello there!

So, I installed EVGA Precision X 3.0.4, overclocked my GTX670, and I found a perfect setting.

So, I close down EVGA, and start to play BF3, but after a few minutes it crashes. So I open up EVGA, and find out that all the clocks and settings i've put in is gone? Everything but the fan curve is default again. But I had a picture of my settings, so I entered all the values again, but lowered the core clock a bit since BF3 crashed (Unigine heaven benchmark was successful with this clock but not bf3 apparently.) Start BF3, and see in the OSD that my GPU clock is the same as before, even though I know I lowered it and clicked apply.

Why doesn't EVGA save my clock settings? :/

Try restarting your computer then reapply the settings you wanted before.

How much did you drop it by.. you need to go down by 13Mhz for the next 'strap' (whatever it's called) to see a drop - I think that changed with drivers (or the tool). It's the same with Afterburner.
