Well thanks for all the help guys! I may be back when I have to put it together.

With a budget ~$500-600 for the tower, I don't see why you were even looking at APU builds. A discrete CPU/GPU solution would absolutely trash an APU build in this price class in GPU intensive tasks. Is this a rig for gaming?

I really hope you didn't buy that Raidmax case and PSU. Raidmax makes absolute garbage and I wouldn't trust a PSU from them anywhere within 20 miles of here (forested area, high fire risk already, last thing I need around here is a raidmax PSU to increase fire danger that much more).

i think ill be fine once i get a gpu in there and crossfire it. I'm not trying to play games that require a lot for their graphics. Just wow and league mainly. Maybe some CS. If i have to ill put in a new psu, but for now it shall do..
If there is little need and power efficiency is a concern, then the APU wins. The Raidmax should do, though I know that there were better quality case/PSU combos for price.....

Sounds good thumb.gif you will enjoy building it.

Btw, wow fps is derived pretty much from the CPU so keep a heads up in case you want to overclock to reach higher FPS for raiding.

Mine was $500 BEFORE software though. and yeah I am more into league at the moment. I run at like 5 fps in team fights on this comp lol its sad. It's my first rig though. I think it'll do fine for just that...

Nailed it.

Though I would take the Xigmatek GAIA for less before-rebate price with similar performance.... and a DVD drive that costs below $20 shipped (I'm really nitpicky) - NCIX is cheaper on that end - and this hard drive (same price for more warranty)

Got me doubting my computer now lol

Your computer will be fine. Just not as good as it could have been. Although I'd disagree with the above posters and replace the CPU & Mobo & cpu cooler with an i3-3220 & a cheap B75 mobo.
