So I was pondering on power supplies today, and thought of something genius!
After having a power outage on my computer, I tried to reboot it, but I got an Ntfs.sys BSOD error, which I eventually fixed after 7 hours of steady work. So my awesome idea would be to somehow wire a battery into PSU's that would charge when the PSU is plugged in, so when the PSU loses power, the battery could power the system for 5 minutes or so, just enough time to safety shut the system off, or for the power to come back on.
I know you can get battery backups for servers, routers, etc, but I thought if it was built right into a PSU, that would be so much easier, and probably relatively easy to put into a power supply.
Just wondering, what do you guys think of this idea? Also, do you know of any PSU's that have this implemented already in their design?
