Where can I buy more of this?

Thread Starter
I am looking to buy more of this.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2200 (PC3 17600) Desktop Memory Model F3-17600CL9D-8GBXLD

But I can't seem to find it anywhere. At least, not in Canada. (I'm in Nova Scotia...)

Does anyone know if it's still available, and if so, where I can buy some? I don't need the Turbulence II fan it comes with; I don't use the original one I have, it's still in the box. Mostly just interested in the clock speed.

Thanks~! :3

Specific G.Skill EOL models are extremely difficult to find these days. I suggest you just look for Hynix or Samsung-based RAM that can hit similar speeds.

Well, that sucks. :T

I originally purchased 8GB, but I want to up it to 16GB for some serious multitasking purposes. I'll keep looking, I guess! Thanks for the reply. <3

So is this what replaced it?

If so, will it meet the CAS9 timings of my current RAM? It's advertised as "2133MHz, CAS11". Mine is "2200MHz, CAS9", and can hit some EXTREMELY tight timings at lower frequencies. That is the reason I am looking for more.

Another person on OCN from NS? I'm actually a little surprised for some reason... You could also look into something like the sniper series for fast clocks and low latencies. My F3-17000CL9D-8GBSR is 2133 CL9 but at 1.65v...

I could make you a good deal tongue.gif

Heh, represent! :3

If I can't find another 8GB of my current RAM, I'll have to take a look into another series. If so, the Sniper series looks promising, indeed! I knew it was a bad idea going from X58 to P67 so soon. Damn ROG boards are the devil. :c

If your switching altogether, you might wanna look into the wonder Sammy's. Everyone can't stop talking about how great they are. Good price too. With ram prices so cheap, I find it better to buy more than you need if your keeping your platform for a while. Finding matching ram a year or more later can be tricky...

My last kit before this was 4GB of DDR2 1066 CL5 that I paid $99 for. So getting 8GB DDR3 2133 CL9 for $50 feels quite nice in comparison.

I've read a bit on the Samsung RAM, and it seems pretty solid for the price. I'd hate to have to ditch my current RAM to go with something else entirely, but if I have to, I will!

$100 shipped for 16GB of this "wonder" RAM seems like a decent deal, especially considering some of the overclocks people are hitting. It looks like they run extremely tight at low voltage. :>
