That eliminates it being some weird conflict. Also, this will sound weird, but check the health of your HDD. I was trying to fix my friends graphic problems with his card recently, because we could not open, fix, uninstall, or do anything with vision engine control center because his hdd was failing and corrupted the save area for it. Probably not the case with you, but that is one stupid thing I have had experience with and was a cause of an infuriating problem, which I am sure could happen again.
Also, if you bought it from someone here on the forums, I'm sure they will be upright enough to help make it right, at least help you out.
On the other hand, I'm almost %100 positive that MSI has a S/N based warranty, and should still cover your card.
I just bought a 6950 Twin Frozr ii here on OCN to replace my sapphire reference card that I dropped and destroyed the other day while changing the waterblock...
and the warranty is still good on the frozr for another 3 years; at least until I
void it next week by watercooling it... here is to hoping I don't drop it with my butterfingers lol...
