Asrock - LucidVirtu

Thread Starter
Got a Z68 extreme4 gen3 and wondering how exactly LucidVirtu works?

Does it automatically pick which gpu to use?

Can you choose which gpu to use depending on program/app running?

Reason I ask is because when watching blu-rays or playing video files sometimes my gpu ramps up and the whole comp gets hot and soon starts to get loud so wondered if for simple tasks like playing back a couple of video files or watching blu-rays if I can force it to use onboard graphics instead of the discrete?

Basically, switchable graphics - This is Lucid's own description of it: 'For those of you who are new to Lucid Virtu, the elevator description would be that …“it basically allows you to switch between your onboard graphics and your discrete graphics card”.'

Cool stuff if you're looking to save on noise and wattage biggrin.gif
