Sgt Gates Here,

You can check my rig and spec in the signature.

My problem as of now is implementing another 4gb stick of Crucial Ballistix Sport to my already existing 8 gb.

My system and nb is overclocked but even at stock bios settings I cant boot with 12 gb even at 1333. I am running windows 64 bit so I know thats not this issue. Just get boot failure and comp speaker ram boot error no what I do with the 3rd stick. Am I missing something in the bios? I'm afraid its just the memory, O well going to get a new chip and ram anyway in the future, just need some help with this for now! Let me know if y'all think of something or have questions.

There is less stability to be had with 3 DIMMs. You may need to compensate with a bump in the CPU-NB voltage. Even then, I don't see how the extra 4GB will benefit you that much. If you are a standard user, you are probably not making use of more than 8GB of memory and your third DIMM would register in single channel, impacting performance upon >8GB memory use.

Yeah definitely less stability with 3 DIMM. However my CPU-NB is already pretty high cant recall without rebooting but its pretty high. I'm running the gigabyte ud3 board maybe someone can throw me a maximum CPU-NB voltage? I think its 1.325 or 1.35. And I do in fact use up to 7 gb when im really using my rig. I run 2 java mine craft servers, internet browsers my own mine craft application and countless others including auto cad sometimes as well. I would like to implement the extra 4gb if possible any advise on how to even get it to boot beside CPU-nb increase unless im below maximum voltage on that? Thanks for the reply
