How bad is the quality on the CM Quickfire Pro?

I hear bad things about it, mainly because it is made by iOne (not as reputable as Costar). I'm just curious how bad the quality really is on it. Going from a Sidewinder X4 to it, I'm sure I would see an improvement, no? Does it really have that many problems that I should not consider it?

It's one of the better iOne boards. Half the complaints on newegg about dead boards are due to the usb cable not being fully plugged in. You have to push it until you hear it click. Other than that, it is also known to not work in the bios when on full nkro mode. This can be solved by switching to 6kro when in the bios and then back to nkro when in windows.

That's what I figured. I'm looking at what I can find in the price range, and for $60 it seems like a great deal. Other boards I'm considering are the Logitech G710+, and I was considering the Corsair K90 before learning about the key repeating issue. I really like the idea of having a number pad, as its something I use on occasion. Backlighting is something I could take or leave. Finally, I'd like to have dedicated media keys. That is part of the draw to the G710+ and K90 for me. I may just settle for the QF Pro.

I've been using one since the first of September. Never had any problems with it.. I have the brown switches. Really like it. I do wish it came with a wrist rest though.

I think I might just pick one up and see. Hard to beat the price. Now the question is browns or reds. What is your personal preference? All I have experience with are membrane keyboards. I know that browns are tactile, while reds are linear. Can't figure out which I'd prefer though.

The u mention the k90 and the 710, have you not considered the trigger?

I have. Missed the Shellshocker sale though. Its still an option for me, but if I'd be getting a keyboard with backlight, I'd prefer blue/white over red. If another deal on it pops up, I'll probably jump on it, if I haven't gotten anything yet. Just kind of waiting it out to see what happens sales wise.

Essentially, the K90 is everything I want in a keyboard, but I'm afraid of the key repeating issue. I'm also intrigued with the new Quickfire TK. I guess I'll have to wait and see on that one.
