GPU GeForce 210 64-bit Competition!!! - Page 5

I can almost guarantee someone will go subzero with it, not sure how much scaling it will provide, a simple chiller might be enough. Won't really know until someone tries it out.

Not sure yet. The Asus card does look nice.

Can't find the DS for the Samsung memory on the Gigabyte card, but I can tell you that GC15 means its rated for 1333Mhz.

well, heatsinks can always be replaced by larger ones/ just about any ol' cpu cooler can be jerry-rigged to stay on the core tongue.gif. as for the phases, i feel like that might be a bit harder to do, especially if you have little or no experience with soldering or electronics.

Yeah there's no way I'm going to add phases, I'll volt mod and through hole soder but nothing else.\

I may rig up a beefy cpu cooler for the card though.

Looks to me, (quick look) that there are 3 revisions on the gigabyte GT210 card, and revisions 2 and 3 offers each a 2 phase delivery system and the gigabyte Ultra durable VGA, but sport a smaller heatsink
http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4254#ov
whereas revision 1 host a single phase, supply but larger heat sink and no ultra durable VGA. although there seems to be a nice filter cap through hole solder joint that you could fill, although I'd prefer the rev 2/3 myself.
http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3913#ov
where as they make a silent version of the same card (rev 2/3 PCB)
http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3964#ov
and they gimp the power delivery system, they have 2 chokes, but only one phase, they remove some core components, but if you were feeling bold you could repopulate the board and get dual phase going it seems.
Actually, they all have one phase per voltage plane. One for vcore and one for vmem. Sometimes they just put them close to each other. There are always two larger inductors on these boards. The one you say has only one phase, has the vmem phase at the other end of the card (see the square inductor sticking up).
