The next competition will be a 2D competition, but we're not going to wait two years like we did last time. You'll be seeing another low-end GPU competition soon enough. biggrin.gif
I still have not had time to double check the submissions and allocate prizes, but I will asap.
2D? What are we gonna bench? Worms Armageddon? tongue.giftongue.gif

I always wanted to ask: How do you generate the money for the prizes?
I googled for G210 vmodding competitions and found a german forum that did a sponsored competition by Zotac here: http://www.overclockers.at/benchmarks/zu_ende_overclocking_contest_zotac_geforce_g210_212847
Plus it's seprataed between air/water and sub-zero tongue.gif

Those are vendor sponsored.. our comps our not.. they are sponsored directly by OCN. wink.gif

2d means processor benching and things, kinda sucks for people who don't have the best cooling or though i don't know what the rules are yet

I was trying to twist on some arms for Wprime and something else.. maybe with set CPU cap. I am sure Pizza and Gappo are already cooking something for the next comp [which i will be taking part in].

a CPU competition? Meaning a new CPU/ mobo/ram may be needed?!

Shouldnt need a new CPU [or anything for that matter] just to bench Wprime.. just segregate cooling and # of threads ..Wprime does not care for memory at all.. so regardless of if your rocking 1333mhz or 2666mhz.. the time is near identical. Just need the right OS.. with some cooling to clock your cores to competitive speed. Wprime LLC would be cool.. and tight comp/scoring too.. which is always exciting.

So an 8core might be the best?!

More is always better for wprime.. but if you use an 8x core.. your going to be competing against other 8x cores.. just make sure you've got the cooling for it wink.gif

ie- If your on air or water.. your likely better off with less cores/threads.. so you can get your speed up. You should use whatever CPU you have now for Wprime.. the number of cores is irrelevant if you are not efficient with your OC and your OS... and dont jump to conclusions.. I never said the next comp will be wprime.. just that I asked for soem wprime the last round for ideas.. I am still keeping my fingers crossed it gets thrown in the mix. biggrin.gif

Sadly, we don't do LCC's with clock limits when cash prizes are involved. To easy for people to cheat. :/ Wish we could.

Comp will be a another flavor of Multi Threaded Madness, if you want to go look at completed competitions for an idea. Wprime will be apart of it clepto wink.gif Though, we are tweaking the classes and prizing structure.
