Better off going Intel for a new build, but good for a system refresh for a HTPC (like what I'm doing
)
Just grabbed a 605e myself. Didn't see I could get a 12x multiplier for $2 more until after the fact but I'm happy with my chip so far.
There's C2 and C3 revisions floating around. Hope for a C3.
605e for $68
610e for $70
615e for $80
620e + Thermaltake TR2 Heatsink for $90
I got a C3 605e ... stock voltage for the CPU and CPU-NB was 1.075v on mine. Stock voltage on some are under 1.0v.

Put it in my HTPC. At 2.3 I was dipping into the upper 50s in CS:GO. I didn't wanna lower the settings so I bumped it up to 2.43 and it's keeping me above 60FPS. Keeping it at the stock 1.10v but I'm going to dial in lower after Prime95 runs for a while.
My motherboard maxes at 302 but it seems to be okay with it too (I just put the voltage at 1.4v in the BIOS and put the FSB to 302, didn't test for less).
