Cherry MX Red Keyboard

Thread Starter
I'm looking to get a new keyboard since my Black Widow Ultimate is not performing as I wish. I'm looking for Cherry MX red switches, with Full NKRO and a numpad, because I can not live without it wink.gif. $120 is my maximum pricepoint. Also something else I would like, but not a deal breaker, is that if it has colors, I prefer red.

Why do you need "Full NKRO", most keyboards are 2kro. Explain why you need more than 6kro?

To faceroll more efficiently ofc tongue.gif

But seriously, CM Storm Quick Fire Pro is probably your best bet as far as cheap but quality keyboards go.

What's the difference between the Red switches and the Black switches? The only switch I've ever used is blue (Black widow ultimate).
Reds and Blacks are both linear switches (no tactile feedback) but the Reds require 45cN of actuation force where the Blacks require 60cN of actuation force.

I went and felt MX Blacks at the store and they were too hard to push down for me. Where's the best place to buy a CM Storm Trigger or a Quickfire Pro?

I ordered the trigger with mx reds, they are like blacks but they are easer to push down than blues. I found one with a UK layout so must be relatively easy to find a US layout. Main things the trigger has over the pro is macro buttons, wrist rest and build quality.
