OC the 3570k: GHz vs Temps and maximizing speed for gaming while keeping temps low

Whats the highest useful OC to where it makes a difference and my voltages dont need to be so high.

Right now im stable at 4.5 with 1.272v

wondering if i drop it to 4.4 or 4.3 if that would save me alot of power and not really make a difference in performance.

Thoughts and Suggestions?

I'm running 4.2GHz @ 1.164v around 60C (ambient 29C) while gaming, Prim95 gives around 72, lower the voltage the cooler it will be. My system wasn't even stable at 4.5GHz with 1.264~1.296v, VID want 1.344v which is hell no.

Hottest core on idle is 30 and load is 60 playing metro 22033 prime gets hot fast

You won't notice the difference between 4.4 and 4.5. If you can get significantly lower volts and temps at 4.4 (which is possible, as 4.5 is around where Ivy starts to get hot) then I'd just drop back to that. But honestly, 60C during gaming isn't bad either.
