^^ I don't play these kind of games. I really hope this doesn't become a trend.

They should just allow anyone in the queue to replace the guy who left immediately instead of locking up the teams.

What's your stance on mayo+siracha on french fries?

On topic: Valve probably could have framed this discussion more productively. All they need to say instead is that they are rewarding players who play entire matches by placing them in the high priority queue.

I dont see why you're offended by this, if you
A) dont even play these types of game anyway
B) you care only about your own fun and no one elses you'll fall into low priority where everyone feels that way

So if I only join MvM games via the server browser then this has no effect on me at all? Guess I'll continue to rage quit as needed. smile.gif

It's similar to how quitting a game in Starcraft results in a surrender.

I dunno what is really annoying in smie is when someone quits and themother players on your team wont surrender so you have to spend 20 minutes playing 5 on 4. Imo the players forcing you to stay in an already over game should be punished instead of the person that quit haha.

Yes I do play teamplay based games, in fact CTF games. But I do not play TF2, CS:GO, or games that punish you. Anyhow, there are far better ways to do this than punishing gamers for trying to have fun with whatever little time they have. Punishing and fun doesn't mix together. Everyone must go sometimes, RL just happens. smile.gif I agree it sucks to play for example 4v5, but like I said there are better ways than punishing.

+ what duox said, that is demotivating and a time-waster. I have zero motivation if I am playing competitively to fight downhill battles. Just wasting my time. Far better if one leaves the whole match gets cancelled, but it would be even better if the quitter got replaced from the queue.

Like what? The game doesn't have a reward system (like XP), that I'm aware of, so punishment is really the only way.
