Looking to buy a Notebook/Ultrabook. Need help.

Thread Starter
As the title says I'm looking to buy a Notebook/Ultrabook.
Will be using the form from the sticky thread to provide more info.

What is your maximum budget? Around 800 Euros.

What country are you in? Portugal.

What will be the uses of this laptop? Will use it at the University, mostly to take notes, web browsing etc. Not looking to play any games in it, so mostly looking for maximum utility when it comes to typing/browsing and portability.

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you? No.

What screen size do you require? Not bigger then 15". From looking around when it comes to portability 13"/14" seems to be the way to go.

What screen resolution do you require? None specific.

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay? New.

How long should the battery last (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)? Not under 7 hours.

What operating system do you need? Windows.

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? Notebook/Ultrabook alike, if it were slim would be cool. Something very portable.

How much hard drive space do you need? Between 300-500GB is enough.

Do you need any special hardware? Webcam, USB ports, the basics. If by any chance it comes with a HDMI port it would be a bonus, if not no trouble.

Okay so this is what I'm looking for.
On the budget, I'm willing to go up to 800EUR but it doesn't exactly mean that i want to spend 800, if there's something equally good or good enough for less money I'd be satisfied with that deal.
I know almost nothing about recent laptops and what they bring and what's good and whatnot so, in dire need of your help guys! smile.gif
Feel free to ask for any further info you might feel necessary to help on the choosing process.
Thanks in advance.

Samsung series 5 13" ultras are great I got one for my sister. No dedicated GPU but can have sandy/ivy i3/i5 (lots of versions) and upto 8GB ram. I put a 256 830 SSD in but otherwise comes with a 500GB HDD.
