I'm on 8 and ubuntu has only given me a headache over the years. Games run smoother too, overall exerpeince is faster than 7.

I still don't like Unity much, although Ubuntu Tweak saves me some time digging around getting it customised to the point where it's at least not jarring. All in all, I am warming to it, just not very quickly.

Will try out 12.10 when I get the chance. I'd totally forgotten that 12.10 was due out in October.
