Can't get my surround speakers to work with my sound card ahh

I am trying without much luck to plug my 5.1 Logitech speakers into my sound blaster audigy ex card.
I just purchased 3 - 23" monitors and want to get this sound issue squared away first.

The Logitech speakers are a few years old but they're still pumping tunes. My set up I was working with has been:

GTX 680 > HDMI > Emerson 32" LCD > muting tv speakers > built in Audio out ( red white ) > Logitech converter box (turned the orange green black 3.5mm Logitech plugs to red white) > subwoofer :and I had everything working smoothly.

Now I ditched the Emerson monitor, and I'm working with monitors with not so great sound, with NO audio out option.

Is there any way I can get this setup working again??

I have tried a mini jack > RCA adapter, best I could get it the right sound coming thru the center speaker and the left coming through the left. And I haven't found the correct plug connections to hook the speakers directly into my sound card. Closest I've been in that department is only getting sound from the red jack which fed my sub and center. Nothing else.

I have the SB Audigy 2 and you either plug your speakers by one digital cable or by way of multi coloured analog cables (as per colours on the sound ports of the SB). Any time I had sound problems, after I had correctly plugged in the speakers to the sound card, I would need to let windows know I was using a 5.1 set-up (default is 2 speakers).

Thanks for the response man, I was trying everything last night, every combo plug even used headphone jack with no luck,. I tried playing with the wire and the speakers would cut in and out.

Summary, old speakers had something messed up inside the wires that caused it to not flow correctly, was unable to find a sweet spot to have speakers working without being moved.

Solution : I am gonna toss this set, use a 15$ 2.1 set I had lying around till I have some extra cash to buy a under 100$ 5.1 or a good 2.1.

I dont use the rear speakers cause I don't like cables running on floor or wall, so if I got a 5.1 I would really just use it for front left and right, center, and sub (ghetto 3.1 I guess)

Any suggestions on a decent set? Gonna be playing games, music with bass, and movies

I'd go with Klipch.

yeah my suggestion would be to get an older HTPC receiver off of craigslist or something with analogue inputs.

Have audio out to that and get some speakers and a sub for your 3.1
