Switch the mobo for sure, you could get a good 3.3GHz possibly. And I recommend getting this RAM, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148017
3-3-3 timings possible at DDR2 800

The Gigabyte DS3 is a very good overclocker. You would get 3.3ghz if you wanted to on it anyway. The RAM recommended by KSIMP88 is a good one as well.

Seems like a better deal. I was looking at ddr2 667 but just wanted to make sure the speeds could be up there with 800.

Thanks

There was a thread from a guy at XS which he runs the same fsb but uses RAM with CAS 3, 4 and 5 all at the same fsb as well and he found out that the CAS3 was not as good as CAS4 and CAS5 was not as good as CAS4 but it was better than CAS3.

So, IMO, you should at least try a 4-4-4-4 or 4-4-4-8 latencies and whatever memory frequency you want the RAM to run to.

My RAM can easily do CAS3 @ 800mhz but I rather use the 4-4-4-8 @ 2.25v 1000mhz.

And definitely, get the Crucial RAM, it's much better than the Corsair now.
