Would buying a monitor help?

Lately in some games when action gets really heavy with combat my screen kinda skips around and is pretty laggy. Im using some 36" HDTV atm would buying a real monitor help?

Highly unlikely. sounds like your settings are too high or your GPU lacks umph.

You have a really nice rig there,

what games are you having an issue with? Metro? BF3?

Do you have any OC on GPU/CPU?

I'm assuming 1080p, yes?

Like every game lately, ill try a different driver then see if that will help.

I turned everything on low and had physx off and my fps still dropped in to 30s in borderlands.

If BD 2 is an issue make sure to turn off Physx since that would bog you down pretty good, but since you did I would say that maybe drivers are a huge issue. Rolling back to 12.8 or further back see if anything helps.

While a 7870 isn't the strongest thing in the world it should be more than adequate to run BD2 even at 1080p, as long as you're being conservative in settings and not putting everything on max over the top max tongue.gif.
