It's not needed, but it would be nice. I know my budget won't guarantee me a backlit keyboard. Maybe I can find a used one. I only see one on the marketplace lol

seriously man, consider the leopold. i just got mine maybe 2 weeks ago, and couldnt be happier. and i was like you, really wanting the k60. (its a damn sexy keyboard) but couldnt justify the price or the fact it wasnt a real mech keyboard. went with the leopold due to the minimal design and no branding, and i love it. picked up some colored caps and off to the races. i was also glad to see a tenkeyless model with red switches, which is exactly what i was looking for. I dont know if you have chosen which switch you would like to use but i highly reccomend the mxreds.
