What laptops can be used with a WQHD (2560x1440) monitor?

Hi All,
I recently purchased a Matrix quad-HD monitor from south Korea. This monitor works beautifully with my desktop machine and it has a resolution of 2560x1440.

I now am looking at buying a new higher end (possibly gaming) laptop that I can use as my primary machine. What I really like to do is to be able to connect this monitor to the laptop. The monitor has a DVI-D dual link input port only. I am not aware of any laptops that have this port built in, are there any?
Assuming the answer is no, I guess my choice would be to buy some sort of adaptor cable to connect ether HDMI or mini display port to DVI-D. Of course the graphic card on the laptop needs to support the output resolution of 2560x1440. Is this possible? (Can HDMI or display port even carry that resolution?)

I can not find any information about laptops that support this resolution and what cables/adaptors I might need to get this setup work. But first I need to know what laptop I can buy. Is anyone using this setup or know of any laptop that would support this output resolution? I am particularly looking at Toshiba Cosmio or Alienware laptops around $2000 with a 17" screen and 1920x1080 native resolution. But of course I am not picky about that if another laptop with different screen size/resolution is the answer to my problem I will go with that.

ps: it is my first time here -- I am pretty excited about this forum, it looks really awesome smile.gif

Edit: fixed a mistake in reported resolution

I call shenanigans on the monitor but...

Only Single link DVI but has HDMI 1.4 which I believe has 4k support. Link up with one of these and you will be set.:

Seriously though send a pic-link to the monitor!!!

@Maximillian-E, I am embarrassed to admit, but shenanigans it was tongue.gif. Well, actually I made a mistake when I was writing this post, I assumed quad HD means 4x1920x1080 which would be the resolution I provided. Of course that is not the case -- the resolution of this monitor is actually 2560x1440. So the situation is not as good/bad depending on your perspective. By the way, the correct resolution was advertised when I bought the monitor, I just forgot it. I will edit my post to avoid confusion, sorry about that mistake!

Anyways, my problem still remains, I still want to know what laptops I could use with this monitor. I think the 2560x1440 might not be out of reach for some of the gaming laptops. What do you think? Do you know of any laptops out there that could be able to support this monitor simply via an HDMI or mini display port to dual link DVI-D cable?

@Hellish I bought this (2560x1440) monitor on ebay from bigclothcraft for $299 and I had to pay $50 tax on it when it arrived (I live in Canada). It arrived in 2 days after I ordered! Here is a link to it:
27" Inch Matrix NEO LED 270WQ IPS 2560x1440 WQHD Quad HD Monitor. I think there are other people in this forum discussing these monitors, but if you want any more information about it, just let me know.
