hey guys wanted to ask is it possible to do SLI GTX 580 1.5GB on a 750Wat CoolMaster GX Power Supply " http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6643 "

my system is MAximus IV P67
CPU : i5 2500K " not overclocked "

i agree the wattage is fine but that PSU is not very good quality.. i would look to change it as well.. something like the SeaSonic X750

[edit] well if you cant get a new PSU now its a good chance that PSU will last until you have enough money to upgrade, but i would do it as soon as you can

If you don't have the money now, save it. Don't cheap out on a powersupply. It's like one of the big rules in computers. I know what you're thinking - "I want that SLI right NOW"

I would honestly wait until you have the money for a DECENT power supply. That one is just...bad. I would suggest the Seasonic x750 as well. I have one myself. You can find them on sale all the time on Newegg or other retailers.

i was able to get the 580 from a friend thats why im wanting to do sli i'd nevre buy it new or refurbished because its to expansive

Honestly, I'd still wait until you have the money. It's very important that you have a good quality PSU to power your system. You can definitely get one used off the OCN marketplace. I always see PSUs on sale.

You can't have two expensive cards on a cheap PSU. If you feel like you can handle having an extremely cheap PSU, then go for it. I'm just putting in my opinion from years of working with components.
