ASRock bios update for Vishera

It looks like ASRock just released a new bios update to support the Vishera chips and less importantly Windows 8:

The newest UEFI is amazing! Cut boot times in half and looks better. Also the 8350 in the mail better work well too.

Yeah definitely a huge improvement in boot times. I'm getting a 8350 too, but can't decide to whether to just buy it now or wait for it to be for sale at the $195 MSRP. I'll probably wait one week to buy.

I just did the bios update on the extreme 3 asrock and now i can't get to the bios uefi during post :/ I found something about other motherboards maybe having to clear the cmos after a bios update. Could this be the answer? what does clearing cmos really do?
