Deluxe doesn't worth the money. Not sure what's the price in the UK, but here one can buy G1 Sniper 3 that's overall offers way more for money.

Between Asus P8Z77-V Pro and Asrock Extreme6, Asus is an obvious choice. Asus gives WFfi, 6 phase digital VRM whereas ASRock has no extra features and only 4 phases analog.

I dont need the wifi but like the other features of the asus, so far the winner is the Asus P8Z77-V Pro

My point is that it's still better to have extra stuff, even if you don't need it smile.gif. Unless by gaining that stuff the board looses something else which isn't really the case with Asus board (it doesn't have headphone amp like UD5H for example, but most people don't need it).

You seem like you won't use many features, so just go with the non pro version. There's no point in buying a board with features you'll never use.

The only difference between the pro and the non pro is the number of phases and SATA slots. That's really it.

So, your Asus board crapped out, and you're really considering another one? Mine died as well. Picking up my Z77-UD5H in about 5 minutes. I've been researching it since last night and seems like a damn fine board. After about 10 yrs of Asus only, it's time for a change.

If you are considering an Asus board and are going to push the budget I would highly recommend the V-Deluxe. I have it and absolutely love it. Beautiful board with killer specs and functions. The asus uefi is top notch and I would bet it OC's like a champ. I am sure the pro is right in line as well if you want to stick within your budget.
