WoW on laptop troubles

Thread Starter
Just recieved my new dell, with core duo 2 processor, 1300 ati mobility graphics card, 1gb of ram, and 7200rpm hdd. I am wondering why its so choppy when i run it at max resolution (what my desktop is set to), i mean its not unbearable but it could be better. It runs fine when i put on another mode like 1024x768 but it looks like crap cause my lappy is widescreen just like pretty much all the new ones, any suggestions?

It shouldn't be copppy. You sure you don't have like programs that are using alot of ram and CPU %?

EDIT: I ran my ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2x on my Current System and 1600x1024 ran fine.

Just FYI. It is in a certain game.

Have you tried reinstalling drivers?

As far as I can tell he was asking about running WoW. If I'm wrong about this please ignore the following.

The mobility x1300 was not made for gaming. Admittedly I have no experience with WoW but I would bet that's the issue your running into.

Toms VGA Chart Link

Keep in mind the x1300 I selected has a 50Mhz faster core clock than the mobility, and twice the memory but at 75Mhz slower memory clock. It will at least give you an idea though as they use the same basic core.
