Installing new HDD

I just got a used 200GB Seagtae barracuda.
Ill be using it with my sig rig, and i was wondering if you guys can tell me waht to do step by step(installing)
Ill have xp pro installed on this one.
It's gonna be a gaming/storage hd , so should i do some partitioning?

Is this going to be just a storage drive or do you plan to make it dual-boot? Is it SATA or PATA? If it is PATA, you'll have to make sure that you have the jumpers set correctly. After you plug in the power and data cables. Bootup the computer and when you get to your desktop, right click My computer and click on manage and go to disk management to activate the drive. You can format the drive from there as well.

Give that a shot and we'll troubleshoot from there if things don't turn out as expected
