WCG not using 100% GPU on a pair of 7970

WCG not using 100% GPU on a pair of 7970. In fact, it only uses 0-40% of GPU.
Using WIn7 x64, BOINC 7.0.25, 12.8 Driver and SDK that came with the driver.
My CPU is Q6600, is that causing the bottleneck? There doesn't seem to have a way to pause the CPU but still allow GPU to run.
Anyway to bump that up?

Try running an app_info.xml file

Look at this post

Save that in a file named app_info.xml
Put the file in the world community grid folder. I can't remember the specific name because I am not running WCG at work, but it is in something like C:\programdata\BOINC\projects\world.....[something or other biggrin.gif] you will see it.

exit boinc and restart it.

I have one 7950 runnning at 96 % utilization. I'm running 6 WU's at a time and cpu is running at 4.5 GHz, I think you will need a faster cpu to get even one 7970 to near 100 % utilization.

You mean running 6 GPU WUs? How to do that?

With an app_info file like magic said before me.

I am assuming that this line determines the number of WU to run per GPU in reverse. So 0.25 means to run 4 WU per GPU.
Code:
<count>0.25</count>

Yeah, that is it. It is a 1/x thing, so .25 is 1/4 so it runs 4 work units.

It says running 1CPU + 0.25GPU.
In this case, that means I can never have 8 GPU WUs working at once (4WU per GPU), since my CPU only have 4 threads.
Checked the CPU usage, it is about 60-75% when 4 GPU WU are running.

Is there a way to set it where it would have running 0.25CPU + 0.25GPU? That way, hopefully I can have 8 GPU WUs on my two 7970.
