It's possible, but I'd be careful about reading too much into the numbers. For instance, for quite a while, all Cherry MX switches except for MX Black were rated for 20 million uses; only the blacks were rated to 50m. But then the official specs for all the others changed (though you still see them listed as 20m occasionally)-- without, apparently, any changes to the switches themselves. The numbers for the Zalman switches are equally suspect, since the manufacturer now
lists the switches as lasting for 50m-- but for all we know (and I wouldn't be surprised), the 20m number, the 50m number, or both could have been copied from one or the other set of Cherry specs rather than any actual testing of the clones.
Basically, there's way too much shadiness with regards to switch lifespan claims by all involved to determine whether or not there are differences between the two switch types on the basis of such numbers.
