Looking for Quality Monitor

Thread Starter
I'm looking around at between 20" and 24" Monitors, I am looking for any bang for the buck deals out there. Resolution of 1600 x 1200 ish. I'm looking for good quality, no ghosting, and basically just some recommendations on what to buy and where they bought theirs from. My budget is around 300-500$ I suppose but nothing overkill like 1000$ for some extreme extreme quality blah blah blah. I just want to bump my 17" up to some big boy. Any recommendations? Any users with the type of monitor I am looking for I would like to here your rating from first hand use if possible . Any other feed back appreciated as usual, thanks.

Kevin

I would say a 20 or 22" monitor. Res is 1680 x 1050, which is just like 1600 x 1200. If you can swing the cash you could get a 24" which is 1920 x 1080.

I have the Acer 22" and I love it, D3adaim is getting the Benq with built in HDMI so you could ask him about that one. I paid 330 for mine, and its great quality for the money IMO. The samsung 22" has a back light bleeding problem.

I got the 20.1" Dell E207 and its great, but it's UNDER your budget at 260 shipped. It'll be about the same height as your 17" but with and extra 2-3 inches on the side.

The Samsung 22" WS is your best bet: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001083

Bottom of your budget, and it'll be an amazing monitor.

The best bang for buck monitor right now would be the $200 Westinghouse 22" LCD monitor on sale at Best Buy during Black Friday. If you don't want to go through that hassle, then the $360 Sceptre 22" LCD monitor has gotten nothing but great reviews and has HDMI connection which is lacking in most 22" monitors.

That deal definitely doesn't look too shabby, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving correct? Do you have one of these monitors or know of their quality? I know the price and the specs I looked at are def. right where I want em.

I don't own one yet (I will after Black Friday) but I have seen it in person at my local Best Buy and it seems to be a great monitor (no bleeding as far as I can tell).

Here's a long thread on the monitor at hardforum.com: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread....4&page=2&pp=20
