Accelero Twin Turbo II + 680 reference

Did they ever fix the retarded glue thing you gotta mix not working properly?
Did they replace it with thermal tape or something yet?

What thickness for thermal tape should one buy if they didnt fix issue #1 yet and dont have #2?

0.5mm or 1.5mm
double sided or just one?

Is it worth it? I reach 70c on daily basis when playing games and its kinda noisy at 60+ %

Can't comment on thermal pad as I used the mix that came in the kit. Bought mine about 2 months ago.

I just let mine sit for a longer period of time - 12 hrs, the longer the better. Seems to work fine, haven't had any problems with it. I also did a proper cleaning job and used an eraser on the chips before applying the mix.

It said to use it within 5mins but the mix was still applicable even after an hour so no need to rush.

What kind of eraser should one use? Does it matter?
Diff erasers have diff types of rubber etc.

Can you get the thermal paste/glue off?

Just a typical pencil eraser. Mine's a new unused polymer eraser typically sold in stationery stores. Don't use a dirty eraser.

The thermal paste is non-permanent. It's not really a glue...has more of a rubbery texture to it. The cure time is much much longer than glue. So to take the heatsink off is just a matter of twisting it and it should come off easy. And cleaning it is much easier than the paste used on gpus and cpus.

I just put one on my MSI 560Ti 448 in the Mac Pro. The glue came premixed was easy to apply and bonded firm in about 20 minutes and hard as a rock a couple hours later.
