Low Sens Low LOD mouse on cloth?

Hi, I play Tribes: Ascend competitively, and am looking for a mouse to fit my needs. I've gone through a few mice recently and have been disappointed with all of them in one way or another. It's been a good learning experience though, as now I know what I want in a mouse.

The mice I've picked up and returned recently have been the RAT7, the G500, and I'm currently using the Steelseries Sensei.

I loved the RAT, the only problem being that it couldn't track on cloth and the LOD being a little too high. I'm a big fan of cloth pads and am currently using the PureTrak Talent. I tried the G500, but the LOD (lift off distance) was insane. It was totally unplayable for the style that I use (very low sens, I lift the mouse up every second or two).

I'm now using the Steelseries Sensei and it's awesome. I configured it to have 0% LOD and it feels perfect. Every time I lift it up, the cursor is in the exact same spot when I put it back down. The only issue is that the mouse seems to have mouse acceleration that I can't get rid of. As a long time FPS player it's pretty much impossible for me to play with mouse acceleration, especially in a game like Tribes that requires you not to only have great twitch aim but a very steady hand for chaining.

So really, now I'm looking for a mouse that has these features:

1. Almost no LOD. Best case scenario would be like the Sensei, where I can literally configure it to have 0 LOD.
2. Flawless tracking on cloth mousepads.
3. No acceleration whatsoever. Just raw input.
4. Good shape for fingertip grip.

I can probably deal with it having a weird shape/texture/grip or whatever. As long as the first 3 things I listed are met, I'm a happy camper.

If anyone has a good suggestion for me, I'd be grateful. This sensei is awesome, but the acceleration is pretty much a dealbreaker for me.

I think CM Spawn @ adjusting in-game sensitivity with 31SROM firmware will be perfect

or maybe tape-fixed Roccat Savu

Thanks for the suggestions! Are those the only two you'd consider? I heard that the EC2 evo has a hard time tracking on multicolored pads, would the Puretrak Talent count in that category or would I need to pick up a QCK?

A black pad would offer an optimal tracking experience, yes.

The Evo sensor isn't the greatest, but it's very far from the worst. Though, seeing as you play Tribes, if you're regularly breaking 3m/s you may have to sacrifice your LOD wants and spend your money elsewhere.

You have either the choice of low LOD and lower malfunction speed or high LOD and higher tracking speed.

You could get a DeathAdder and a cloth pad that is not black (dark) colored to lower your LOD. If it isn't low enough you could use the soft-mod "tape fix" or just use 0.5mm for non black pads or 1.2mm mouse feet on a black pad.

Another option may be an Intellimouse Optical or Explorer 3.

When BST releases his 3050 (maybe the 3090) that could be the mouse you want, but right now it is a mythical beast.

Don't think those MS mice can go much past 2 m/s.

Halfway thinking of recommending looking at an older 3060 mouse and just put up with angle snapping, though I can't remember how fast they can track.

I haven't tried the Sensei yet but I had a Xai. Up until now the Zowie AM has the lowest LOD of all the mice I've had.

CMStorm Spawn has the lowest LOD I've tried with the 31 Firmware.
Must be used on a plain black cloth pad like the Puretrak Stealth, a lighted coloured one will need another firmware.

31 fw of the Spawn isn't good if you are a low sensitivity player. The max speed is very low on this firmware, even lower than WMO.
