other than that, it looks AWESOMESAUCE !!

It is indeed color-x and grand bleu. My crappy point and shoot makes the color-x look lighter than it is. So you don't like the colors?
lol, that would be hard to tell, wouldn't it ? from my remarks. Somewhere along the line I imagined that a red and blue would show well together, with the Azza 9000 black case with prominent red led stripes and an Asus Z77 board .... yet I've come to notice very few, if any, such combos in sleeving. With Asus and Gigabyte boards awash in blue of varying shades, and G.Skill ram with bright red spreaders, a lot of people shun the red in their builds, accenting the blue. And in the rate the sleeving thread, a lot of comments on a clashing of colors when there's red ram involved in a sea of blue.

I've ordered the grand bleu and color-x - whether I'll ever sleeve with it, is another universe !

Pictures are sometimes worth a "hmmm" ... So I'ma gonna find out in person. I still think it will work, tho, don't fade coz of my rant wink.gif

Personally, I like the way the cable looks on its own, but I'm not really loving all the colorful colors when I think about it inside the case. Not sure yet what I'm going to end up doing. Maybe switch the blue for a white, and stick with red black and white, that way it's not a total loss. Not sure though.
yah, something about the blue mixing ... 3 colors works well, but its hard to pull off a 4 color pattern. I'm not a fan of the grays mixed with whites mixed with black/white and the other offwhite colors.

And you can get too specific with a pattern and it may not show like you intended because of the stiffness or crossed over wires. My 24pin's bottom wires were black, top wires were 2 black / white/b-magic/4 black/b-magic/white/2 black. But its a Seasonic, and with modsmart cable bundlers, I can get the top wires to show, but its near impossible to get the bottom row to not show as the cables bend to the mobo.

The video card cables are a bit more separated, but still, those under cables that cross over .... I don't have a preference, I'm fine with a jumbled mess or a bound, orderly look ... but I'd like to get it once with the bound, orderly - streaming - look.

That looks like b magic in those pics, to me.
I went with black, b magic and white in my build and honestly wish I would have left the black out. I'm still thinking of redoing my gpu cables and replacing the black ones.
Well I also use titanium gray in small amounts for my sensor wires and black for some odd and ends, but the major colors I want to stand out are blue and white.

I think red and blue can look good together, sometimes pics don't do justice and many of us (well me for sure) aren't super good with a camera.
There is so much yellow light here that it washes out the colors in my pics sometimes.

socketus, when you gonna get a build log for me to critique?? Waiting until you finish is no fun, we want to see your brilliance as it unfolds. wink.gif

I switched around the colors, and it looks much better in my eyes. Something about having the bright color on the outside just wasn't pleasing. Is this any better? Still going to switch it up, but as a standalone cable, I think it looks pretty sharp.

Here is the other for reference:

How about without the black ? Looks good to my eyes, maybe in context or in case or a 24 pin would convince me. No fear, but I dunno that I'd ever start up with all this sleeving, tho I got sleeving and crimper coming.

@ Mandrix - you trying to be funny ? huh ?! who's funny around here !? wink.gif
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Here's how a typical day goes when I wander over to the build table. I have the top and bottom rad and the oversized psu in - can you see my screwup ?

I didn't remember to try the psu cabling !! theres an 1.5" of space ... means I gotta take out the rad again, try the cabling, see if the rad can go back in, and if not, I have a spare 850 psu that's standard length. That's typical. For me. On this w/c build.

I have 2 extra radiators, because

1. I stupidly tried the 480 with ports to the rear, and it hit against the pci slot cage, without switching the rad around to try it. So I compounded my stupidity by ordering up a rx360.
Kind fellow - DarkHollow - prodded me in the Azza - pun intended biggrin.gif - thread to re-try the 480, its gotta fit, his SR-1 360 does !! Long story short, I flipped the 480, it fits !

2. I couldn't get the 20mm spacer onto one of the 480's ports - need the spacer to drop the 1/2' x 3/4" hose below the fan coz there's no room. I didn't want to force it ... but I could fit any other fitting to the port, but none of the 4 spacers. I put in a support email to HWL - I'd had the rad for 6 weeks, so no RMA, but I emailed p-pcs about it. They returned, after a few hours, an email with a pic of an SR-1 with 20mm spacer attached to the port - no problem ! And told me to force the spacer onto my rad. So I got smart, for a change, and took the rad out ... and was able to force 2 of the spacers onto that stubborn port biggrin.gif However, in the few hours waiting on a Friday afternoon, I decided to order up the AX480 rad from fcpu, coz it gets here in 2days, if shipped the day I order it. I knew I was taking a chance .. I knew that p-pcs wouldn't give an RMA on the 480, but I convinced myself to buy the AX480 tongue.gif

Well, so now I have 2 extra rads at about a cost of $200 that are sitting here useless. Its a major brain blow to me, not to say disheartening, coz when I can work on the build, I get lost in that space/time thang ... and actually enjoy it all. But with knuckleheaded moves like the above - I'm always stubbing my toe, learning how to walk in this w/c land - its intimidatin, ya know ? And don't tell me the 2 rads are the perfect opportunity to man up and get a CL merlin !!! I don't know what I'm gonna do with the Azza - my daily pc has an OC.ed 2600k and a GTX SC 580 that is more than fine enough for the gaming and OCN surfing biggrin.gif

I'm resisting all this excess I guess, but sooner or later its gonna take hold or root ...

ps. gonna save people the bother with my drivel

@ Mandrix - you trying to be funny ? huh ?! who's funny around here !? wink.gifWarning: Spoiler!

It doesn't bother me if people see my mistakes, and I don't see what there is to worry about? If people troll you with nasty comments that's their problem, not yours. Most of us spend our hard earned money on this stuff, with nothing given to us and it's our decision how we do things. Sometimes you make mistakes while learning, is how it is.

But back on the thread, ballnuts I think swapping that blue to the outside looks good, myself. You don't have to do your 24 pin the exact same way, just experiment and find what you like best.
