I feel like my graphics card is damaged. This has recently become more of a problem. I almost feel like its drivers related but I'm not sure....
Check out these weird triangles that appear quickly and flicker when playing bf3. I only have pics from a vid...
Vid was taken back at STOCK clocks! I have overclocked and bios modded the card for over 1.15V and I've run 1.175V max. Temps are within check. Never going above 48C with the antec 620 mod with the other 240 rad mod.



I'm going to go ahead and reinstall the WHQL drivers and see what that does. I haven't tried other games but I feel this has only been an issue in BF3. Heaven3.0 looks crystal clear. Anyone else get this? Before it was just when I had the AUG with bipod and the bipod was extended when prone that it would do these weird triangles. Now its becoming more prevalent.

That looks like artifacting to me. I am no expert though, so just wait until someone else chimes in.

Yeah, looks like memory artifacts. Memory speed is at stock?

You can try to underclock the videocard to see if the artifacts go away. I know that's not a permanent solution or whatever, but you can atleast try. By overclocking you might have damaged the video card.

Found out it was I believe the overclock. Downed the overclock a bit and its fine. Lowered the volts.
I can't tell if it was a memory overclock issue or if it was Core related.

I also found out my CPU overclock is unstable...doh.gif so I had to run some prime again on that. Not sure how that could become unstable but whatever, got that issue resolved.

Odd thing is in heaven it never crashes at the core clocks nor does it show any artifacting...but yet in BF3 it does...weird

That's actually pretty common - BF3 seems to be very stressful for GPU overclocks.

It's even doing it at stock clocks without even at 99% GPU usage too! Like 60% usage at stock clocks and it'll flicker like that..WTH?

cakewalk my bf3 has been doing the same. Strange thing for me was it only ever happened if a Little Bird apache took off, like literally I could be other side of a map and soon as enemy little bird took off those massive black lines appear on my screen. This was with my gpu at stock and cpu overclock that has been stable for months.

It only happened on one server though, maybe its just some bugs in thier setup. try changing servers?


I only starting having this in past couple days also, so it could be some new bug out.

You give me a gentle peace about my GPU overclocks. Can't find any other benchmarks finding my card unstable, max temp at stock clocks is 38C so I'm not sure what it could be. It just randomly started happening to me too! Just cause 2, Crysis 2, Assassins creed, Heaven3.0, EVGA OC scanner, Kombuster, don't find any other artifacts or unstable overclocks. So it must be just a bf3 issue. Thanks man! This is what I needed!
